Melrick D. Calijan from the Municipality of Bindoy has won the title of Hari ng Negros: Ginoong Canlaon 2009 in Negros Oriental held last Saturday, June 27, 2009.
Melrick, 18 years old, was the tallest contestant in the pageant.

The very Pinoy-looking Melrick is a 2nd year BS Accountancy student at the Silliman University in Dumaguete City.
He loves to play basketball.
