Qualifications for the interested applicants are as follows:
1. Must be a Filipino or with Philippine ancestry
2. 17 - 25 years old
3. At least 5'5" in height
4. Must have family roots from any town/city of Negros Island or an endorsement from the LGU that is willing to sponsor candidate
5. Can understand and speak English
6. Must be single with no child
The reigning Hari ng Negros is Ralph Jadraque.
